International Sun-Earth Explorer Collection, 1978-1982.

The collection includes ninety-five eight and a half by eleven inch and twenty-eight eleven by seventeen inch paper-based positive graphic glossy computational equation charts and data plots, four maps, five transparent magnetic field data experimental art work and three negative images created by the ISEE Workshop Team at JPL. Also, there are two articles published and one submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research and two publications by Max-Planck-Institut für Aeronomie, Katlenbrug-Lindau and Max-Planck-Institut für extraterrestrische Physik, Graching, West Germany as follows: M.E. The ISEE-1 and 2 principle investigators who created these images were Bruce Tsurantani and Edward J. Smith. They were instrumental in gathering the data results to support the experiments of various frequencies and observed the many interplanetary shocks of energetic protons distribution accumulated over a period immediately following each shock passage. The graphic images were integrated into the two articles that were submitted to the Journal of Geophysical Research to support the text of the principal investigators' experimental data. These structural test levels allowed the ISEE Team members at JPL to measure the vibration level of these data plots. This process determined what level frequency enhancements the team could use in observing numerical simulation and theoretical studies of charged particles acceleration in perpendicular and oblique shocks.
